Right now, Etienne is splitting time with Montrell Johnson just like PM and WS are splitting time.
If PM and WS return, while would Etienne go from getting half of the carries to only getting a third of the carries?
Seems unlikely to me.

He’s looking for one of two things. To play for a national championship or to make NIL money. He won’t find either at Clemson. The article is trash.

May be true with the nil part I don’t know or claim to know enough about our situation there but I do remember reading we were still like top 10 in that aspect … but not playing for a championship I completely disagree , anything can happen if you make it and I fully expect us to be in the top 12 next year. With the hires we have made and talent on this roster I think some of you think we are ALOT further away than we really are in reality.

Also, if this past season is any indication, the level of play needed to reach a playoff/championship is lower than it has been. LSU, Georgia, Clemson, and Alabama of the past several years would smoke every one of the playoff teams this year.

Top 12 won't matter. Pretty strong bet that ONLY the ACC Champion gets in. Getting 2 teams from the ACC is probably not going to happen unless both teams were ranked in the top 5 and undefeated before the championship game. Count on the 7 at-large bids going out with 3 or 4 SEC teams, the loser of OSU/Mich, and probably 1 more B1G team. Leaves at most 1-2 slots for other conferences.
SEC bias being what it is, if Clemson is #10 at the end of the season with 2 losses (one from the ACC championship game, one other), pretty much each and every 2-loss SEC team gets called up over us.

🤡 Yeah I guess there's nothing i can think of in recent memory that would lead me to believe Clemson is capable of winning a national championship....other than winning 2 national championships in the past 7 years

I don’t know what that source is but I think they’re just thinking since Travis went to Clemson that Clemson will be a top choice for Trevor now.
There was an interview where he was asked about Clemson and why he didn’t go and he explained that it felt like he had already been there
