Driving behind a chit buick on the way back from lunch today

Apr 5, 2017, 12:37 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

How about this eye-gouging monstrosity from the 2000s?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I dunno, look at the first decade of 1900

Apr 5, 2017, 12:41 PM

Purty ugly and not practical at all. Plus they were slow as shid. I can blow that think off the road in my Xploder.

Apr 5, 2017, 12:42 PM

Re: Yeah

Apr 5, 2017, 12:44 PM

you can grab a handful of cars like that from every decade. top to bottom 90s def worse. Look at daily drivers

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ok, here were my daily drivers from that era

Apr 5, 2017, 12:50 PM

None of them bad designs. I do actually like 80's design better though.

Black and Gold, with window louvers please. Did you like it?

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah man. It had Recaros!

Apr 5, 2017, 3:25 PM

It was a family car that was passed down to me. My idiot brother put the hurtin' on it before I had a chance to drive it, so it wasn't exactly in tip top shape by 1995 (it was an '85).

How did you swing a Defender in the '90s?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It was a 94. Got it in 99.

Apr 5, 2017, 3:29 PM

Buddy who worked at the land rover dealership called me and said "dood, come down here.....got a D90 with 100k miles that we're just going to send to auction.".

Went down there and got it for 16k. Sold it 3 years later for 19.5k and thought I was a badazz.

Googled the VIN a year ago and it was for sale in Denver for $45k.

I had an '89 which was the body between those two while i was at Furman. That car was FUN to drive and the engine was bulletproof.

Apr 5, 2017, 12:57 PM [ in reply to My favorite has always been the Z32. ]

Original Q45 and LS400, Miata.

Even mediocre cars like the Millenia looked good.

90's were the best era the Japanese have ever had, styling wise.
