I don't know much about gymnastics (aka Clemnastics). I was watching the meet and Tigers had 2 gymnasts fall on the balance beam, so one score had to count. I wonder if we could have won the ACC championship meet without counting the fall score.

A fall is half-point deduction. We still finish in second with only one fall.

The other fall would not have hurt because the lowest score for each discipline is dropped.

We caught the last half of the ACC Championship meet last night and didn't get to see our beam event. From watching all the other competitions it looks like the beam is probably the most difficult event in ladies gymnastics. All the events require an extreme amount of skill but the balance beam just looks to have an extra level of difficulty out of all the amazing things these young ladies do.

NC State excels at the beam as to where the balance beam appears to consistently be Clemson's lowest scoring event. Of course NC State having three experienced 5 year seniors doesn't hurt with their high scores either. We've got some young talent on beam that will only get better in the coming years - watch out ACC - our lady Tigers are coming for you!

What an inaugural year for our young gymnastics team and Coach Smith! Way to go Lady Tigers!!

Is she injured? Her score might have made a difference?

She fell off the beam.***
