Smart.

I never understood the original destination (besides his hometown). Sage is a very good player and needed to face better comp IMO...with all due respect to FAM.

Ironically, isn't this the type of "transfer" that makes the most sense?

Forget the Clemson to FAMU move. I'm talking about situations when your HC leaves. He committed to FAMU when Simmons was there, but is now transferring (okay, leaving) because his HC left, correct?

Yes, technically he never really "went" to FAMU, but I understand this decision.

I think he's much better than FAMU too. He would get meaningful snaps at most power 5s.

Best of luck to him. UVA is a great school! It has always been my favorite away game to attend since I was a kid in the 70’s. We went to all of the away games back then. Beautiful surroundings and campus.

Yes - Those games were especially fun prior to 1990 when Clemson beat UVa 29 consecutive times! I was at many of them as well.

To show what he could do as a receiver (he's got plenty of film as a blocker at Clemson). Plus FAMU was A) closer to home & B) probably 1 of the more highly visible FCS programs in recent seasons.

UVA will look good on his resume, hopefully will work out for him.
