We are in along side UNC, Duke, Virginia and NC State. Pretty good company. Hats off to our players and coaches.

Contrary to what was being said, NC State's win most likely helped the ACC, essentially giving the league an extra team in the tournament. We know for certain the Wolfpack wouldn't have been in without the conference championship, so unless the committee would've put Pitt in their spot (which is doubtful, considering Oklahoma and St. Johns were also on the outside looking in), the ACC only would've had 4 teams in if not for the NC State win.

Good point.

Oklahoma, meh. But St John's should have been in.

I don't know. I'm not convinced the Tigers should be in, and definitely not a 6th seed. I put more weight on finishing the season rather than how it started. Clemson going 12-11 and losing bad to BC the first night was not the way to the dance, more over being placed in the top 24. Uhuh. No way. Not convinced UNC is a one seed neither. I don't see ACCB heads above like it used to be. Hopefully they'll surprise me.

people have bought into exactly what they have been trying to do - ACC/Big East continue to set the bar despite a targeted attack to limit their bids. B12 to their credit has the NET figured out to build it up prior to conference play. The ACC 20 game schedule is taking away non-conf opportunities for the ACC to do more. Remember - tourney victories are real $ on how the TV $ is split. There is a 4-5 year weighted period on NCAAT victories. Just wait til the next basketball contract and the B10/SEC try to base it off bids. This is why I'm all for expansion to 128 as I have full confidence the ACC for as long as it remains intact will outperform the SEC/B10. Nobody wants to watch SEC/B10 basketball yet they will continue to try to force it down our throat as some package - it's not the product football is(B10 football isn't either). If you don't already do so, I highly advise watching some Big East reg season and tourney next year. I couldn't find a good single source to show year by year but these articles kind of piece things together including how the ACC has been under-seeded and not getting the bids they deserve. The ACC and Big East should never get less than 6 each until they prove otherwise in the tourney over an extended period- which has not been the case. I expect UCONN or UNC to cut down the nets.
