Welcome Alex. She would have had a lot more rbi's with a better team around her that could get on base and steal.
Get her into our outstanding fitness program and she'll develop a bit more power ala Maddie. Exciting stuff.

I had a family emergency, and I had to take time off from work. Then I was spending all my time catching up with work.
The Oklahoma series was heartbreaking, and I take some blame for the final game. I went to a Dave Matthews Band concert with friends rather than watching the game live.
This is a great pickup! Replacing Davenport at 3rd was a concern...not anymore. If this young woman can slot into the 2-hole, she replaces Miklesh's top of the order bat too.

I think Logoleo stays at short and Brown moves to third

Davenport was a defensive specialist, and Rittman still kept Logoleo at short. Logoleo improved tremendously with her defense this past year. I think Rittman will continue to trust her.

I suspect that Logoleo stays at SS and Brown is at 3rd. Possible that Brown plays 2nd and Maddie Moore at 3rd but that would be a surprise.

Great get.
So when we say that Dabo doesn't take guys from the portal because they don't fit "our culture..."
is that really saying:
a) it's not the Clemson way?
b) it's not Dabo's way?
c) football transfers are different than every other sports' transfers?
d) something else?
Obviously the preference is to get quality high school kids and for them to stick it out. I get that.
Joe Burrow. Justin Fields. Spencer Rattler. Know what these guys have in common?
And you might really hate Rattler because he plays for the c*cks, but I bet he'd have done better than 29 attempts for 99 yards if he'd started for us instead of for them. He sure looked "ready" to play that day.

It comes down to we have been able to recruit and develop better than others & sell loyalty to really good recruits that don’t want to change schools or have another experienced player jump ahead of them while developing to start as a four of 5 star player.
It’s working great so far.
Dabo said if he didn’t have great recruiting meeting the teams needs he would build using the portal.

Dabo has taken a player from the portal each of the last two years. He has clearly stated that he would take transfers as needed but prefers to recruit from the HS ranks. BTW recruiting elite football transfers is totally different than recruiting elite softball transfers

Alex looks like a great transfer!
Dabo has used the portal, and he will not run players off to make room for portal players.
We have 1 this year.
So you think we should have gotten Burrow or Fields and benched Trevor?
I would take Trevor, like Dabo.
Rattler played decent, but we lost that game with Cade and Rattler on the bench!
Two bad plays late in the game on offense and special teams cost us that game, not Rattler.
When Dabo sees someone we NEED in the portal, he will take them.
He went out and got an OC from the coaches ‘Portal’ this year!
