Noticed that myself, but, if he's coming back, I don't think he will stand a chance of beating out Cade as the starter for next season starting QB. DJ is to slow, and he's not as accurate throwing the ball as Cade plus, by next season Cade will have his weight, and strength up to par for a power 5 QB!!!

I just figured he wasn’t certain about the decision and wanted to keep the door open. Or avoid speculative questions. Not sure what the curtain call would sound like either?
