“Penn State recently offered, joining the likes of Minnesota, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Duke, and Northwestern. Boston College and Stanford”
This is who we are now recruiting against for Quarterback? No SEC interest and the only ACC offer is Duke, times are changing and not to Clemson’s advantage.

It's no secret that they've missed on their top targets this year. Apparently they really want to take a QB this year instead of shelving it until the next cycle. Guys who don't camp or send out a lot of tape or maybe he plays at a small school can fly under the radar. Those are legit offers...if it was say a school like coastal carolina i would be worried. I would venture to say, there will be more offers to come.

One is a Sophomore and one is a Freshman. WE DO NOT NEED TO TAKE QB IN THIS CLASS.

Have you read about the new addition to college football? It’s called the Portal! These kids don’t sign an agreement that they will not leave. The new rules makes recruiting even more difficult.

and they did commit to us at a point in times past. Remember when we had Zerrick Cooper, Hunter Johnson, Kelly Bryant and Chase Brice on the roster at the same time? Then we had Trevor, Hunter, Chase and Kelly. Then we had Trevor, Taisun and DJ. Last year we had DJ, Cade and Hunter... we also had several years of 2 or more 4 stars, so, it's not out of the question...

We still need to maintain numbers at the position. It only takes one transfer to get really thin at QB. Grunk could be a viable depth piece without deterring a stud '25 QB from choosing Clemson.

There was like 5 former SEC QB's starting in the NFL last year, 6 if you count J. Hurts.

What a moronic post for many, many reasons. You’d think you might be upset by actual truths as in TCU was a top offense. If they were, then my team had the best defense in the nation.

Sounds to me like he's an Ohio State fan and will accept there if they want him.

I would be VERY surprised if he signs anywhere outside that conference.

Re: TNET: Recruiting Service evaluation process S/B helpful

Thanks TNet News for this interesting update.
As you and your editors can see from many of the postings prior to 9:30 PM on May 4, Clemson has many fans who (understandably) get their football information from recruiting services and from the known-at-the-time offer list from competing schools.
Any chance that TNet would author a new article that helps everyone to better understand how the recruit rating services come up with their ratings?
(1). Many fans don’t realize that much of the weighting process comes after the fact; I.e., the ratings of a recruit change as the number and name of new colleges are known to the recruiting service. In other words, the recruiting services are significantly dependent upon the evaluations of the REAL experts … e.g., the coaching staffs that conduct their own (independent) evaluations.
(2). First / early does not equate to ‘ho hum’ for a recruit; Last / late does not equate to ‘world beater’ for a recruit.
(3). High school recruits are young and at reasonably likelihood to change for the better with both physical characteristics, improved situational awareness from the additional FB playing that they will get during their final year(s) in HS, and psychological maturity (calmer in the face of difficult circumstances, better leadership example to teammates, and less prone to getting the ‘yips’ due to self-doubts).
Thanks.
