Maybe he wasn't checking the OL in the early work? One can hope.

Also, as a college football fan for a long, long time, i can only feel sorry for Paul Tyson. His great grandfather was one of my early day favorite coaches even if he did cheat.
One of my favorite stories was his flying into College Station, Texas and asking the Aggie booster he was with which Aggies could help with pay offs. It's documented in books. His wife got off the plane in College Station and starting crying instantly because of the ugliness of the place.
Never, in all these years have I heard anyone say that my town was ugly. But, College Station looks like the south side of a north bound horse. The only way they've ever recruited anyone is by paying them.

Extremely rare for true freshman to crack the 2 deep at OL

And this is the first week of camp. Relax.

We know it is early, but based on first impressions, do you see Noble Johnson having an impact this year or is he more of a work in progress for the future guy?

I think he will play, but has some guys in front of him that will play a lot of snaps. Collins and Turner and Randall and even Spec will see outside time. Stellato if he gets healthy.

David, how's the offensive line look? That seems to me like the real key in the big games. We were crushed there against ND last year. Are they still getting pushed around like in the Spring?

Two practices in and without pads. Kinda hard to evaluate the OL...

I played line at both the high school and college levels. You can absolutely evaluate a line based on drills and work without pads.

Johnson needs to learn to block along the permiter, this is what made Tee Higgins so special, and why ETN's YPC dropped after he left.

true. I think Randall fits the bill here, weighed in at 225 and can move, has violent hands.

Figured Tyler Brown would turn some heads…

Looking forward to some gadget plays that will utilize his quickness.

He might've been the most underrated guy in his class.

Beaux Collins...

His focus on the person asking the question, his easy smile, even his phrasing reminds me of Hunter Renfrow. It's the first time I've listened to him being interviewed. What a nice young man!

But she heard me listening to that interview and said "wow that seems like a really nice kid"

That D-Line should have fresh legs on the field a lot this season....we WAYYYY deep this year! And nobody will love that better than Carter and Trotter lurking behind them guys.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

WOW!! He is so well spoken and even

Aug 8, 2023, 7:13 PM

Politely schooled Larry Williams. He answered with “fewer” plays vs. less plays in the question. Ha ha. I could listen to Beaux all day. Great young man. I pray he has a stellar season.
