I would like to end the year with our offense saying, "What's a punt?"

I’d rather us not to need to punt. If we must, then I hope he is like a Dale Hatcher (I think was his name), AKA Mr Thunderfoot.

Doesn't Old Thunderfoot (Dale Hatcher) live around here

somewhere? I'd be calling him, along with Zimmerman. Even Jim Phillips realized what a special talent Dale Hatcher was, leading to the nickname he gave him.

I haven't seen or talked to Dale in a few years...

(I think the last time was when he was in Clemson attending the 40-year reunion of the 81 National Championship team), but as far as I know, he still lives in Gaffney.
If memory serves, he was originally from Cheraw.

Need to find is the person coaching every punter we face every game. They consistently out punt our tiger punter.

Good to see him come back and work with our guys. As he said they both are very talented, so hopefully his coaching can help both improve.

Best punter my Horns ever had was an Australian and he was actually named MVP of a bowl game we played in. He kept Missouri pinned inside their 5 yard line every time he punted. He's been spectacular at the NFL level as well. Australian punters have become all the rage in recent times. Jason Tucker might be the NFL GOAT kicker and our punter might be there, too. That FSU kicker in 1999 that kicked forever for the Oakland Raiders might be the goat, too, but he clearly showed the hypocrisy of the Bowden family at FSU. Burger King Bobby suspended his other players that were with Janikowski the night they got in trouble, but because of 'Wide Left" and "Wide Right" that clearly cost FSU the titles against Miami, Burger Bobby refused to do anything to his really good Polish born kicker and that was my number one reason for detesting FSU back then after initially liking them. The sons were the same which is why I didn't like Clemson before Dabo. Hey, that's my choice and I did like your previous coaches and teams before a Bowden took over.
But, back to punters, being known for having a great punter is rather a bad look for your program, right? I'd rather be known for kicking tail and scoring a ton of points. As one coach said back in the day when asked about who his punter would be, "I'd rather not punt". Would be a nice option.

We had a bunch of painful coaches between Frank Howard and Dabo, but don’t put Danny Ford in that group! They were mostly good people too. That’s why we should really appreciate Dabo!
Go Tigers!

They must have run back over 200 yds of Heugel' kickoffs, one for 96 yds and TD.

Would be great to have a 50 yard punter. But, the shanks are worse!
