It's true, but that's OK

Look, he followed Coach Eason once we made the hire; we hadn't even offered the kid, in spite of it sounding like he had interest. It's not the biggest get, but after the attrition of players following Coach V, this feels like a bit of a rebalance of karma or something. I love it.

There are those that pick schools bc they have that schools fan for a life time, and they wouldn't be caught anywhere else, BUT, 99% of recruits pick a the place they are going to because of a coach, or bc of the coaching staff. Don't ever think that it isn't so bc, it's an absolute fact!!!!

Guys following coaches TO Clemson is a nice change.

I know many hated seeing guys follow coaches away from Clemson, but getting a guy to follow a coach TO Clemson feels great, I have to admit.

After reflection, the only one that followed our coach was kanuck, and he was genuine... And seemed torn.
Now, the other 3, I keep asking myself what really did happen. And wonder (only speculation) how many would have decommited had BV stayed. Sounds like Sapp was on the edge so I think he flips. Some say it was an inside img thing and something with our coaches and their coaches. Idk.
I just don't think it was all BV or they'd ended up at Oklahoma. So, what really did happen. Dabo just doesn't have many, if any back off like that... Especially at the last minute. It wasn't NIL. Haven't seen any big splash on them receiving money. My guess is a ton of negative recruiting. Would be curious to hear from an insider what really went down. Like @ClemsonPaw

I don’t know Paw but isn’t he the one who was saying (insinuating) we were getting Andrew Paul? Is he believed to be an insider?

I can't answer for anyone else, but the very second I hear someone talk crap about a person or a place,, I'm asking myself, I wonder what's going on with that. And if people will take a little time to find out the answer, they will find with people, it's a personality clash, and that's where the negativity is coming from. If it a place, it's mostly bc the place didn't have what attracts that person to a place. 99.99% of the time, people would do themselves a huge favor if they would meet the people that were receiving negativity from another bc, no matter how good a persons personality, or their character is with most people, there will always be someone that they've met, and it just didn't click in a positive way between them two.
So IMHO, a recruit is doing themselves an injustice if they won't visit a school to see for themselves if the negativity they've heard from another coaching staff is true, or not. I mean, I think that most HS recruits are pre warned to be careful about the negativity they will hear about coaches at other schools they want to visit, and IMO they owe it to themselves to go to every school of their list offers, and see for themselves what all the coaches have to say. And let a coach know if they have been spoken about negatively, and listen to how they defend themselves!!!!

Welcome to Clemson Caden. Your judgement of Clemson is sound and well founded. Most all of us fell in love with Clemson and decades later, we still are. As part of the family, wear your Clemson colors and attire proudly and all over the world people you've never met will say "Go Tigers!" and treat you like a brother. This love we have lasts much longer than a football career.
Of course, as you can read in these comments we have some other types hanging around. We call them coots, critics and malcontents. But the few of them we have often go by the name of.....

His mom and dad had a big influence. His dad being a HS coach knows b.s. when he sees it. Likewise, knows the truth.
I'd like to buy her book. Now that she's a part of the Clemson Family, I'm sure others would too. It'd be nice if he could profit from it as well... Like a signed by him type of thing.
Can't wait to see them in the stands. As does Dabo, they walk the walk. Good people.

Agreed.
I wish we'd have offered him a scholarship even without Coach Eason. We didn't, but I'm glad he followed his coach anyway.
