the question is have we worked on ways to pick and pop this week in practice or are we going to simply isolate him in the corner again and hope our 4 on 4 game is better than the opposition? If you're still seeing Girard standing in the corner with his defender not moving and watching then we've not done anything this week in practice. And in that event i have real concerns about our season.

Brownell has to have learned how to get our shooters open for this week. There's no boost to an offense like your top shooter hitting a dagger three. It loosens the team up to play more free. But teams are learning that if you put pressure on our safety valve and force our other guys to hit jump shots then you can beat Clemson.

We had plenty of open shots against UNC, they just were not falling. It was a very frustrating game to watch. We had very little to cheer for in Littlejohn. When Wiggins made the lone 3 in the second half, I thought maybe that would get the team and crowd going. Alas, it did neither.

I am excited for the game tonight and hope to see a different result. Even though it's only our 4th ACC game, it feels like a must win. Pull this one off and we have a couple very winnable home games coming.

the other guys, we had last year, and we know they go hot and cold. I'd being drawing up plays like a mad man to get that guy a set shot when we're sliding downhill offensively. If he's missing open shots then it is what it is and we are just gonna lose. But I don't' really expect wiggins, hunter, etc. to shoot us back into a game (consistently) but I do have a hunch that Girard can. And he's a one year loaner.. better try to use him while we can.

If you think all girard does is isolates in the corner, then you have not watched our games.

I just watched the first 5 minutes of the INC games and there were 3 different screen actions to get him open for 3. There are certain offensive sets (especially when we want to get it inside) where we want him at the 3 point line to kick out in case of double teams. That is by design.
