Am I the only that feels that John Swofford wrecked the ACC all by himself in the last year that he was the ACC commissioner? IMO, that's exactly what he done all by himself, and his two biggest screw ups were, #1 was the GOR deal that he put his name on, #2 was he let ND get away when he had the best bait in the world called money for ND to swallow, and he let them get away during the covid year when they didn't have a FB schedule to play that entire season, and Swfford bailed them out without a string tied to a freshly baited hook, he just through it in the water with a hand shake and his ugly smile!!!

It is “viewers” not markets anymore in the streaming era and Clemson and FSU bring that. UNC and Miami bring that at a lower value. VT, GT, and NCSt maybe. Rest of ACC minimal.

Not a Finebaum fan, but that is probably the nicest and best thing he has ever said about Clemson. Him saying that makes me feel like maybe, just maybe we have a shot of getting in SEC. Considering who he speaks to etc...

I think we should be in the SEC. I think most reasonable SEC fans (outside of the dirt peckers) would agree whether they like Clemson or not.
Now, if there is no possibility to get into the SEC, I think the BIG10 would be more advantageous than remaining in the ACC.

Dabo has grown in the college sports world, and he is a very likeable coach, and that is the reason he would be great in recruiting from the SEC bc most of the very elite players want to play in the SEC bc they have been brain washed that the SEC is the easiest/best way to the NFL, and they believe it!!! But the real truth is, if they are a really good player, the NFL is there for them regardless of what team they play on bc NFL scouts will find them!!!

Finebaum usually says what his bosses (ESPN and SEC) want him to say. He’s changed from “FSU and Clemson don’t bring value to the SEC” to today saying “There is no better fit for the SEC than FSU and Clemson” he also says they need to get out of the ACC today. Hmmm

From a culture perspective Clemson and FSU are very good fits for the SEC in terms of football prowess, history, fan-support, region, etc.
But from a financial perspective, Clemson and FSU don't necessarily bring a lot of extra value to the SEC in that there are already SEC schools from SC & northern FL. And Clemson is a relatively small school (small alumni base) in a relatively low-population state.
I think that Clemson and FSU bring more value to the B1G, not that I want to see us there.

1. Finebaum did not say this without the approval of the Greg Sankey and ESPN.
2. Finebaum was probably handed the ###### and told to say it.
3. Finebaum is an employee of the SEC Network, not an independent thinking commentator who is free to give his opinion when that opinion concerns the SEC.

This world is definitely about to end or something of that effect. The day that I agree with Paul Finebaum is the day that the world experiences some paradigm shift. However, I could not agree more based upon the current situation with the ACC and it's leadership. Clemson has to depart the ACC to remain competitive and that must happen soon. Dabo almost predicted this moment years ago whenever the NIL first arose as a topic of discussion. He said that NIL deals would further widen the gap between the have and have nots. He also stated that if you're not relevant by the time those changes occur then you'll never be relevant on the national stage of football. Dabo should run the NCAA once he retires from Clemson.

I don't think Sankey and the SEC want to face Clemson in the playoffs. It's in the sec's best interest to scoop us up rather than play against us in the natty. Just my 2 cents.
