Same here. We are making our first trip to ND. Do you have any recommendations for places to eat Friday night? Someone had suggested the Fiddler’s Hearth downtown. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Fiddler’s Hearth is a classic Irish Pub with lots of atmosphere. My Scotch eggs were gross but my wife and daughter got some good stuff. And danged if there wasn’t a guy fiddling by the hearth!

Right across from the stadium there’s a good new sports bar called Brothers and a new Irish Pub. Across from the SE corner of campus is the Linebacker, an old dive bar that’s kinda famous.

If you aren’t tailgating until afternoon, you might want to make a pretty drive through the country to eat lunch at Das Dutchman. That’s an “Amish” place. Probably not Amish, but my stomach growls just thinking about that place.

Yeah, I thought Friday walk-throughs were standard protocol for road games. Even with a standard conference opponent you see every other year, there's always guys who have never been there. Get 'em out on the field and walk them around. Where our sideline is, where we enter/exit the field, etc.
