Wow. This young man seems to really have it together. I like the early relationship getting built with him. Also at 6’2 and 300 lbs and will probably grow even more. Go Tigers!

The only odd factor is him wanting to play early. It is rare to play early on a great football team, especially for a non-5 star. But if he is good enough, it could happen. Dabo is certainly not immune from starting a few true freshmen. I don't think Dabo promises anyone a starting job, but he definitely gives them the opportunity. I hope this young man understands that. Promising anyone a starting job is wrong on several levels - not fair to veteran players and perhaps deceitful. I trust Dabo knows how to handle this type of issue.
That said, if a young man is really looking to start as a freshman, they should look for a 2nd tier school.

Considering DJ and Cade, I think you must be incorrect.

Most HS superstars are of the belief that their dominant play in HS will translate seamlessly to college FB.
Not entirely dissimilar to a HS sophomore “A” math student who mistakenly ‘knows’ that college calculus will surely also be easy.
The smart ones will learn that their HS talents will not be enough to perform competitively with their college classmates. These kids will learn that they will have to perform at the college level if they hope to receive accolades.
FB or math. Merit ( performance in college) will be all that matters after HS is over.

He has high expectations, and that’s not bad unless it’s unrealistic; however, he seems hungry and passionate. Not sure why he would consider “Clemson without a lake". From what I hear that place is a dumpster fire, but he would probably start as a freshman there.

What's the deal with people still wearing a mask? What's the deal with wearing a mask on chin? Chin a major source of COVID transmission? Was at six flags recently (big mistake, freaking ghetto dump) and people were wearing masks on chin and top of head. Maybe I am missing something. Either abject stupidity or virtue signaling.

He is only one in photo with mask. In 2021, did you catch COVID through your chin?

Maybe if you continue being ignorant and sounding like an idiot, this great recruit will be turned off!

I didn’t catch Covid in 2021. I did work at Clemson in 2021 and there were still some mask requirements in place. This may have been a time when masks were required indoors on campus. Maybe he just pulled his down to his chin instead of removing it altogether if he was going back indoors? Or maybe you are just easily triggered.

I am not triggered at all. I just like to point out "shepple" when I see them.

Hats off to the young man for doing what he thought was best for his health and/or the health of his mother, or father, or grandmother, etc, etc. Or, perhaps, he was following the rules about masks inside a building and would go back into that building.
He deserves your respect for trying to do the right thing -- for whatever reason. (We all know many people that ignore all the rules because the rules NEVER pertain to them. Sadly, a large percentage of those continual rule breakers are cultists of TheRump, I think. No rules pertain to TheRump (the spoiled 12-year old that he is).
Whether we like the rules, or not, democratic societies depend on rule followers. The young man would seem to be one of those. Good luck to him. You should commend him.

Shepple follow tyrannical rules. You will probably follow the rules when China marches you off to prison. Did our founders follow the rules? This nation was founded in rebellion and has always been great because of our nationalist, rebellious attitude. You don't follow rules of tyrants. Faucci said masks did not work. He was telling the truth then. Due to political pressure, he reversed. He then said he lied. But go ahead and be a good shepple.
