If we beat the Coots next week, not only has Truth, Justice and The American Way triumphed BUT we deny them a bowl game?

Oh, let it be so!

They would also have to beat Kentucky tonight.

Seriously just drop the act Hood, Clemson is on its way to competing for a national title next season. No kind of negativity you try to bring is going to change that.

Correct mistakes and win next week. Great game but room for improvement. Finish up strong!

There is room for improvement after every game. The defense is on a hot streak with turnovers. That needs to continue next week.

We are playing really well right now and I see a double digit win next week.

Go Tigers

This writer is absolutely correct!! He's not being negative, just realistic. Blocking remains inefficient in short run situations. It takes all four downs to get 3-4 yards. Crossing, or should I say, breaking the line is too often a "photo" finish. And why this coaching staff stubbornly wants to ram it through in these situations is just as puzzling. Don't give me rushing stats. Points win games and this offense continues to under perform in point totals as compared to less talented teams against like opponents. Duke, App State and GT all posted better scores against the Tarheels. Couldn't score on a free hooker Pitt put up 24 on Carolina. Vanilla UVA and a beige shade better Miami scored 31 as we did. The tigers put up 35 on GT (Defense scored 7 of those 42). In death valley. Bowling Green and Boston College bested us with 38. In Atlanta. No Clemson fan anywhere can breath when the Tigers have the ball in the red zone. Nor when we're kicking a FG. Even a short one. Rarely does this offense block or pick up pressure. I won't even mention the passing game woes. If we play an SEC type Defense this bowl season don't look for a happy result if these things are not cleaned up. Defense is good, really good, despite poor tackling and giving up big runs that seem to come out of nowhere. Especially from QB's. I'm hoping this will get tweaked as well. But no doubt this side of the ball can keep the Tigers in any game. The last few weeks have encouraged me. However, to compete with teams on the highest level David Hood is spot on.
