I love that we are currently 3-2 and out of the 45 total predictions from the staff, only 1 has picked the other team.
Why do you all even bother? Clemson could finish 8-4 and you all would still pick Clemson for every single game. So what's the point if you're just blindly picking Clemson?

That being said..the tempering of offensive expectations via score predictions after the GT game was hilarious.
42.4 ppg average prediction vs GT 23.9 ppg average prediction vs NCST
*Avg prediction vs UGA was 27.7ppg
You know the season is going down the crapper when the pumpers that do these predictions think we'll score 4 less points vs NCST than we will vs UGA

Clemson has been horrible against the spread the last 2 seasons. Ignore the 15 point line, sharp money definitely has

That’s incorrect, every predictor has picked Clemson every time in every game. It’s completely absurd, we have no reason to believe that Clemson is going to go up to Syracuse and win that game. It’s going to be a toss up, I could easily see Syracuse winning it. Mobile quarterback is tough for us. I agree, why bother if you’re going to pick Clemson in every single game

It STILL makes complete sense to pick Clemson by roster alone. While that talent is not panning out, you still have to give the nod to the team who is, on paper, more considerably more talented. That’s not being a homer.

Kantor picked Clemson but had it closer than the others. I would pick CU this week but if the O does not show improvement tonight then I would find it hard to pick them against Pitt next week.

A line is not predicting who wins, it's generating a spread that will generate the most action on both sides.

I am well aware of what a line is and how they fluctuate. Surely you understand that a high point spread (and corresponding high money line) are clear indicators of who is expected to win.

Syracuse scoring 20 points but i don't see Clemson scoring 31 points. Maybe.... 21 points. 7 points by the Clemson defense.

I don't see how our offense will score anywhere near the predictions. Our defense is outstanding, but I do not see our defense holding them to that low point totals.

Am I all by myself...or has anyone else noticed our offense sucks this year?!? We are well past hoping and a magic wand. 8-4 is Very Realistic.

Agree. All anyone can say at this point is hope we play better and find a way to win.

23-13. We scored one TD and 4 FGs against BC. The offense improves and we get 2 TDs and 3 FGs this week. We might even score 27 on Syracuse - 3 TDs and 2 FGs.

The average predicted points scored for Clemson is 28.25. I’d love to see that happen tonight, but I don’t see it.
That’s based on nothing more than hope and optimism.

The Vegas total is 28.5...right in line. We turn a couple of FGs into TDs and 28 is easily attainable. I think we'll get there.

We are averaging 12.5 points per game in regulation this year

against power 5 teams, yet you think we will more than double that against a Syracuse defense ranked in the top 25?

Syracuse's defense is not a concern, at all. They gave up 30 to FSU and 37 to Wake in their two most recent games. In the weeks before that, a combined total of 45 points to Albany and Liberty.
I saw progress last game - a balanced attack of 200 yards rushing and passing. Just too many drives ending in FGs. We've had time to heal a little bit, time to mesh and hopefully get back to basics, and I expect to see it come together tonight (finally).
I really like what I see out of Pace, and Mafah will get loose at least once. I do think there's a lot of "coach speak" going on, but one of the points is right on - if we normalize our 3rd down conversion back towards the mean, it will have a huge impact. That was true all the way back to DW4 early days...there were plenty of 3 and outs. But usually, if we got just 1 first down, points were coming.
