Tigers seemed gassed at Miami just like at Memphis

in the second half. Never thought I would see a Brownell team give up 60 points in a half. Maybe they need to switch the road game pre-game meal from turkey & dressing to a What-A-Burger with a large coffee.

I’ve noticed that PJ specifically has always had challenges with conditioning. The injury was definitely to blame in the past, and this year has been better, but I still notice it from time to time. When he’s tired he makes bad decisions and turnovers. There was a stretch in the second half last night where PJ turned the ball over 2 or 3 possessions in a row.

I saw the same. Definitely contributed to poor rotation to the deep shooters, and sloppy play of offense. Brownell played a 7 deep roster much of the non conference slate with Clark and Hemenway injured. That’s not going to work going forward against the better ACC teams. Leyte and Beadle got 3 mins of PT combined last night. I think that was not a great decision by Brownell and contributed to the starting 5 playing slow/lethargic in the 10 minutes of the game when Miami took control.

Depth is a real concern right now.

We really need Jack Clark and Alex Hemenway to get healthy. Being down a starter and key reserve hurts us in games like Memphis and Miami where the pace is fast.

Coaching has nothing to do with it, I'm sure. Right Mrs. Brownell?

Screw Calford.

we just need a nice guy who will stay the course at Clemson. It's all we can ask for.

Miami dictated the pace, and Brownell didn't have enough sense to slow things

down. We are one quality big man low on depth off the bench, to get us through some of these times when Scheiff or Hall need a rest.

well, we aren't very deep and Brownell doesn't rotate players in much

To me it still doesn’t explain the lack of sub minutes for Leyte. It’s not like Miami was forcing a pound and ground offense in the lane. Leyte could have provided some length on defense to atleast get a hand up on the jumpshots while allowing Hall and Schieffelin some critical rest in the second half.

I’ve seen our guys sucking wind way too frequently this season! We attended the game over Thanksgiving weekend and were both shocked to see how heavily our guys were breathing. The tall skinny foreign kid (name escapes me) looked like a fish out of water gasping for air. I was seriously worried he was going to collapse on the hardwood.
