Tigernet May Have Borderline Personality Disorder...

Why exactly do most people have to be all one opinion or all another? I know its reflective of our society as a whole, but geesh it's bad here tonight.

It is possible to both think that the refs made some calls at the end of the game that cost us the game AND we contributed ourselves by a bad stretch of turnovers (I believe both are true)

It is possible to both think that we played well enough to win and that we made some critical mistakes (I believe both are true)

It is possible to believe that this team is capable of a Sweet 16 run AND that its also capable of blowing making the tourney all together (I firmly believe that both are true)

Why exactly does the Brownell's Buddies crew want to deny the fact that we play below our capabilities at times? Why exactly does the "Bounce Brownell" crew not want to acknowledge that the officiating had something to do with the outcome of the game?

Oh well. Good thing we can all have different opinions. It's what makes the internet fun and free, right?

Short for fanatics.
Def: Fanatic (n) - a person with an extreme and uncritical enthusiasm or zeal

There is no room for logic in fanatic.

If we were logical we'd be call "logs" not "fans."

"uncritical enthusiasm"?

Took me a while to figure it out.

I copied the definition from dictionary.com. Here are the definitions from the same source.

"uncritical" - not inclined or able to judge,...

"enthusiasm" - absorbing or controlling possession of the mind by any interest or pursuit; lively interest

So a fan of (insert team here) is a person whose mind is controlled by (insert team here) to the point that he is not capable of judging (insert team here) negatively.

I'm sure we all know fans of any of several teams. (I won't make any political statement but I know people who are "extreme fans" of certain politicians.)

Convert 1 of those TO’s into 2 points and the bad calls don’t matter. We win by 1 instead of losing by 1 given the same bad calls.

Team controls their play, not the refs.

And if Duke had made two more three pointers they would have won by seven. The point being all teams make good plays and bad plays. It’s part of the game. What is not part of the game are officials who make multiple blatant bad calls all in one direction. Statistically it is not possible unless there is some inherent bias.

I remember the first time I heard the term borderline personality disorder. The Miami Dolphins had a WR that was diagnosed with it. I am no doctor or psychiatrist so I wondered if borderline meant someone was just a little messed up. If that is the case, it definitely doesn’t describe Tigernet. There is nothing borderline about the disorders here.
