This is why Dabo will never go to the NFL

For one, he's not stupid. It's very rare for a college coach to be successful transitioning to the NFL. But what we saw & heard yesterday - and most of us already knew - is that Dabo is all about development. He wants to develop kids into mature men. He wants to develop good athletes into great athletes. He wants to develop good players into coaches, and good coaches into great coaches. Dabo Swinney is 100% about development, and that just doesn't work in the NFL. Maybe one day he'll decide to pursue a new challenge, but I'd be incredibly surprised if it was in the NFL.

I think Dabo would be successful no matter where he goes. His best strengths are evaluating coaches and players. And he's a great motivator and people person. I think the opportunities might come up where he is offered an NFL position but I just see him much happier doing what you said and developing in college.

He wants to LEAD young men like you mentioned

He Wants to LEAD an Organization - Clemson football

He wants to LEAD the other coaches within the organization





that is NOT what the NFL is about
