Beating SCar does zero for any Clemson fan. You're supposed to beat them because they're so terrible. It's like the Furman game. There's basically a 2% chance you lose the game, but if you happen to lose the game...then it's just chaos.
I wish we would stop playing this game and find a legit rival like UGA to play every year. That way a loss doesn't actually matter and a win means something.
Playing Scar is lose-lose. You beat them and nobody cares. It actually hurts our schedule to beat them.

instead of allowing them to step foot on Death Valley. The fact we allow those people inside of Death Valley is a travesty and really just shows how oddly "inclusive" our weak society has become.
We should just play them in Columbia on Big Thursday or play a real school.

So i certainly understand that sentiment. And dealing with their world class loser fanbase is a frustration no one needs in their life. But beating their #### every year and watching them cry about it makes it all worth it.

This way we get 2 weeks to prepare for Charlotte.

This game isn't a lock. As a matter of fact, when we hopefully beat them, it will help us due to what they did vs the Vols. This is good for us.

Georgia is 43-18-4 against Clemson (70.5%)
Clemson is 72-42-4 against South Carolina (63.2%)
Georgia has dominated us more than we have dominated South Carolina. But go on.

…If Clemson WINS, then, good. Now the post season is NOT screwed up and Clemson people can roam the state of South Carolina UNHARASSED.
If Clemson LOSES, then EVERYTHING gets screwed up, including I-95 DRIVE-THRU traffic in the state of South Carolina getting CHECKPOINTED upon entry and exit checking that drivers and passengers can RECITE the Coots winning score, lest occupants spend the night in the Darlington or Ridgeland County jail.

You're right about one thing:
From a purely national perspective when Clemson wins it's like "yeah, so what"? If Clemson loses it's like "Clemson isn't good", or "they suck". So, I see your point about feeling like it's a no-win situation. Clemson doesn't get to puff their chest out when they win, but SCAR does.
Most people aren't even aware of how under-the-radar this "rivalry" game really is.
I prefer to keep playing them. Their entire fan base deserves the annual loss.

I totally agree. I moved here 30 years ago and drank the orange kool aid shortly thereafter. I thought the exact same thing when the “big” game came up. I always wondered why we at Clemson would condescend to the fowls in Cootlumbia. No comparison. But after being here so long I see the in state thing like everyone else does. They are definitely beneath us though on so many levels. But nobody outside or our state cares
