TCU is undefeated but thinking only one win against a team with a pulse, Georgetown.
Big lineup: 6'7" 6'8" 6'11" 6'8" 6'2".
Love our non-conference schedule this year.

Not sure why you like the OOC schedule. I like our record. The Bama and SC games were against decent opponents. The rest Kenpom has at 120 or much worse. As you stated, TCU has only played 1 game against anyone with a pulse - and they won by 1. Maybe they are good, maybe not.
I don’t think you learn much or get tough by playing so many poor teams. I would like for us to swap 2 of the poor teams for teams in top 30. This will help schedule strength and give us credibility at tournament time.
Unfortunately, we can only play who Brad scheduled at this point. So, winning becomes more important. Doing good so far.

Should be no complaint with this schedule! I think our RPI is #2 and Net top 15!***

Non-conference schedules Clemson has ever played. Have you checked the NET? I didn’t think so. You are welcome. And put a lid on the negativity until the first loss. Then you can start screaming FIRE like the rest of the Lunatic Fringe.

We usually play a bunch of quad 4 teams (and last year lost to them) and then one or two teams with a pulse and lose those games.
Playing quad 2 teams plus a couple of quad 1 teams is a huge upgrade.
We didn't need to win every preconference game given the decent competition, but Brad would have to really blow the ACC schedule for us to not be in the NCAAs at this point.

Clemson scheduled tons of potential quad 1 wins and it has worked out well. Even though some teams have slipped this year we scheduled what was projected to be one of the hardest schedules. Boose state was a tournament team last year that returned their best players. UAB was a top 50 kenpom team last year. We were projected to play a preseason top 25 Maryland until they got upset by Davidson (not brownell fault). TCU was a tournament team last year and is undefeated right now (though against terrible opponents). Memphis was a preseason top 40 Ken pom team. Alabama has worked out well for our resume but you can’t deny that our non conference scheduling was tough. We scheduled 6 tournament teams from the year before

Their 6'11" Center was a McD All American. Tigers need to be ready.

Tough game indeed. Not only will it be stupid cold. But long travel like that really has an effect on the body and mind.

You dont think the kids will be wanting to stay indoors the entire time they are up there do you? Moving your body to a new environment for a few days takes some acclimation...even if they are playing the game indoors the players will still most likely get to go outside and enjoy some sites.
im not suggesting this is some crazy big issue or change that will have massive effects on the players...but it does provide a minor challenge.

These teams only live in hotels on these trips nowadays

Anyway. The days of players going out and doing stuff on away trips is long gone.
They just stay in the hotel and FaceTime girls or ply video games

I can guarantee you that’s no what’s happening in Toronto. They came an extra day early so the team could see the city

Don't worry so much. Toronto buildings have heat, and I'm pretty sure that the game will be indoors.

Interesting we dropped two spots beating the gamecocks while they held their ranking losing to us. I’m having fun following this voodoo game by game this year.

There are currently 7 Big 12 teams in the Top 20 in NET. Between them they have a total of 3 losses so what that means going forward is all of that league’s rankings will likely feed off each other as they play the conference schedule. You have to get down to 53 to find the seventh ACC team so we will likely be the opposite. Notre Dame at 211 and Louisville at 277 will kill any chance for more than 5 ACC teams in the tournament.

Conference reputation is established in November and December

and the NET rankings follow suit.
It's ridiculous, but it is nearly impossible to change that perception as the year goes on, even though teams can change a lot from November to March.
That's why I would like for the NET to be improved to somehow take into account how a team is playing in January and February versus putting so much weight on the November and December games.
Our Clemson team last year that finished third in the ACC was a much improved team at the end of the regular season compared to the team that lost those quad 4 games early in the year, yet we were penalized too much for those games. There was no doubt we belonged in the NCAA Tournament last year, but couldn't beat the fuzzy math that is the NET ranking.

True but then we gave them that last unfortunate data point of losing to a 3-win Louisville team in late February. That was the back breaker last year. It’s why we have to become a better tournament team. Make the ACC final last year and probably get in. We have to at least have the vision of cutting down the nets at the ACC tournament.

Jamie Dixon is a very good coach, so he will have them ready.
I do think their undefeated record is a bit misleading. They haven't played nearly the schedule we have.
Georgetown is a traditional basketball power, but this year they are 5-3 overall this year with wins over Le Moyne, Mount St. Mary's, American (by just 3), Jackson State (by just 7), and Merrimack (by just 2). They have losses to Holy Cross, Rutgers, and TCU.
TCU beat Georgetown by 1 point. TCU's other opponents have been Houston Christian, Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley State, Texas-Rio Grande Valley, Omaha, and Southern. We will be a huge step up in competition for them.

Technically TCU should be 6-1 with a loss to Georgetown- who most likely will not even make the NIT.
A TCU player knocked down a 3 as time expired but actually stepped out of bounds. Since the call was NOT made on the floor the winning shot could not be reversed. G'Town actually won this game. Really tough break for them.
What's going be tough is this is our third game away from home out of the last four. It's also our third game in 6 days. TCU has not played since last Saturday.
This game will be followed by possibly our toughest opponent to date- another road contest at Memphis.
I wouldn't dare call it a top 10 schedule but, it's really been a very tough one thus far..
