2024 eclipse vs 2017 eclipse (in SC anyway)

2017 was (almost) like watching the Tigers on the game winning touchdown drive against Bama for the 2016 title. Amazing.

This year's eclipse (here in SC, anyway) will be like watching them have a great drive that stalls out at the 15 and we kick a field goal. Still good - but not nearly as impressive as the other!

I still plan to go watch. Got my cheapo Made in China eclipse glasses I bought from Amazon for $10 for 5, so hoping I don't go blind. These things don't happen often so gotta enjoy what you can when you can!

2017 was pretty awesome for the Carolina’s for the eclipse. I took some cool photos of the eclipse using my giant oak tree as a viewing device from Fayetteville NC. I will try to attach them

It's so cool how the shadows through the trees reflect the degree of the eclipse. I remember watching an eclipse back in the early 80s/late 70s here in Greenville. We didn't have the glasses back then, but I very vividly remember those crescents in the shadows of the trees. Very cool.

Guess I’ll enjoy for us both. And I was wondering how safe id feel sporting same cheap glasses though I did stare at the sun yesterday with them and it went well.
