Dabo is aware unless we run the ball the way we did in the 2nd half, we are not very good. Passing is not our thing right now.

Or does he have a bunch of yes men. BV , I’m sure gave him very honest feedback. Not sure any else has the balls to do so

No. I truly believe he thought the system and the culture he created was good enough and that everything would just fall in place. He needs to look in the mirror, imo, and just realize he is way off at the moment.

I'm still 100% for keeping him because the last two seasons are still better than what came before him but I don't see him getting us back to the top.
The brain drain at coaching already happened and the talent has started and will continue.

This is exactly right, the lack of experience coaches and hiring your buddies leads to drop off in the quality of coaching.. It’s apparent on the field. It’s very disappointing. I really thought Dabo’s was above this, but apparently he is not.

I've always loved Dabo and couldn't understand why everyone didn't. This year is different. He had to know in the off-season this team isn't very good. He lied about it. I've lost respect for him

Pride comes before the fall isn't a well known saying for no reason. Dabo is clearly too proud to admit and address fault at this point - it happens to nearly everyone. Part of the reason Saban is as good as he is is because he's seemingly immune to it and completely reinvented the way he coached over the last decade.

Dabo's coaching tenure is likely connected to his kid's remaining eligibility. He's just gaslighting, hiring buddies and grabbing checks until then.

Dabo is a sales man and a talker. He believes if he talks enough and says enough of the right things, people will believe it. People want to believe in him. That’s how he’s built this program. So, he continues to believe that if he pumps up this crap offense and these crap coaches enough, fans/media will buy into it.
I think he is aware of this team’s problems but he’s in CYA mode for himself and his appointed staff. He may move people around at the end of the season and call that change, but that will be it.
