It gives them a chubby and thats all that matters to them. Of course so would murdering him in the street so let's hope they are able to maintain at least a modicum of self control.

I was thinking maybe shooting him in the middle of 5th Avenue?

Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.

I would agree likely next to no chance of prison over the Manhattan hush money case. But are we really saying that if he's convicted in the documents case in Florida and the election-interference cases in Washington and Georgia he'll just skate completely anyway??

Because in theory he could spend more than 700 years in prison when you add up all the possible sentences. Mind, we know he's not going to get close to that even if he's found guilty on all counts, but getting it from 700 to completely zero would seem to a layman, anyhow, to be a bridge too far even for our imperfect justice system.

I'm no lawyer and you are...but how on Earth would that happen?

Great questions and I don't pretend to have all the answers, but I simply cannot imagine that, even if convicted, he would go to prison rather than some sort of house arrest. You just can't throw a president in prison, as unfair as some people might feel about it.

I'll just throw the Demonrats a jab every once in a while and continue to watch the rope the dope show coming out of D.C. It's interesting seeing how so many are being sucked into the abyss of socialism.

There's a cost for everything - nothing for nothing and for the engineers, for every action there's an equal and opposite reaction.

Summary

"There is no such thing as ‘safe’ socialism. If it’s safe, it’s not socialism. And if it’s socialism, it’s not safe. The signposts of socialism point downhill to less freedom, less prosperity, downhill to more muddle, more failure. If we follow them to their destination, they will lead this nation into bankruptcy.”

"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples' money."

Margaret Thatcher

Trump is probably like most conservatives, interwoven with some parts of the 10 or so conservative labels and definitions.

What's going to be even more interesting is how fast the number of "conservatives" will grow when people are eventually down to their last $ and the socialists want 80% of it. Prevention is better than reaction. Stop the socialist movement now before it gets that far.

I'm a Democrat and believe in personal responsibility. (But I acknowledge that conservatives tend to take the concept further than I do.)

The ex-President very likely committed some very serious crimes. He should be put on trial. If the jury comes back with an acquittal, so be it. If the jury comes back with a conviction, then he should spend some time in jail.

This is how a Democracy with the rule of law works. Leaders who commit obvious crimes get prosecuted.

We have a word to describe countries where there are no prosecutions of political leaders. That word is "dictatorship."

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up
