I fell for it again. Shame on me. Every time there's a breaking story about conference realignment involving Clemson I lose at least a full day's productivity searching for any tidbit I can find on the internet. In the end, its always the same. No change.

Like most, I have never been a fan of the ACC, and have long hoped for some alternative. I'm aware that there is a lot that can go wrong leaving. There is no guarantee of a good landing spot, and the landing spot that we do find may not be as rosy and we may hope. However, I can't see any way that Clemson can continue to thrive while in the ACC.

So now I'm going to go back to productive work. Hopefully I won't be fooled again with the hope of revenue equal to that of most schools of comparable pedigree. I'm sure that I will be though with the next glimmer of hope.

I imagine there will be many twists and turns before anything concrete is decided/announced. Much of what we read is simply posturing and there is no way from a computer we can know for sure what is real and what is not real.
