There were several times Saturday when Rattler

Nov 28, 2022, 3:05 PM

Could have been flagged for intentional grounding

I know its childish to complain about refs but can you really say that SCAR committed no penalties until the 4th quarter.

With 1 more year and his OC leaving does he enter the portal

Evidently we don't have a viable QB in the room.

Who said that? They got called for intentional grounding in the first half resulting in the safety.

They ruled him down in the endzone

Nov 28, 2022, 3:22 PM

No intentional grounding on that play

I thought they came back and said he wasnt down...

Nov 28, 2022, 3:33 PM

and it was intentional grounding? Per the TV cameras, he was not down but it was obviously grounding...the only WR was 15 yds away running downfield.

They ruled intentional grounding which results in a safety

Intentional grounding is seldom called when the QB throws the ball out of bounds, even if it's painfully obvious that he isn't trying to complete a pass.

They called Rattler for intentional grounding in Q2 when he had almost hit the ground after Orhorhoro got to him. Rattler was inside the tackle box and there wasn't any S.Carolina receiver within the same zip code as him.

I must have missed the other non-call intentional grounding plays by Rattler.

Wasn’t he flagged for intentional grounding for the safety?

Nov 28, 2022, 3:26 PM

Which was before the 4th quarter.

No they ruled him down

Nov 28, 2022, 3:30 PM

And went to video to see if his knee was down

No they did not.

He was flagged. Not ruled down. He was not down. There was no replay that occurred.

Heard a coot call in to a florence radio show this morning and say that the forward handoff was illegal on the kick off return and should have been blown dead and a penalty. He said a high school he knew confirmed it.

SEC refs didn't know I guess.

Don't see why it would've been blown dead. It would've just been a live action penalty that SCAR declines.
