there are plenty of programs that have lost tens of players to the transfer portal due to HC changes, PT or ego. BV specifically called out a coach that is neither in his current or future conference, nor do they have past interactions (that the public is aware of) that would preclude calling Sanders out.

This was very disappointing of BV, and he literally did take the shot because he said, "I gave guys 12 months of grace, unlike Deion...". It is contrasting his idea versus what he "assumes" is Sanders idea, but why name Sanders specifically? Wouldn't he have been better serving the culture and standards that he says he is setting by keeping another coach's name out of his mouth? If he's going to call out a coach for recruiting purposes, he should be punching up to Sarkisian, Day, Saban, Riley, Smart or Fisher rather than punching down at a guy coming up for the first time from an FCS school to FBS.

I know BV personally to be better than that, and yes, he did take a shot... a totally unnecessary shot and that's not on the "media"...
