Three survivors of the Colorado movie-theater massacre escaped with minor wounds, but were left with broken hearts because their heroic boyfriends died saving them.
In final acts of valor, Jon Blunk, Matt McQuinn and Alex Teves used their bodies to shield their girlfriends as accused madman James Holmes turned the Aurora cineplex into a shooting gallery.
Blunk’s girlfriend, Jansen Young; McQuinn’s girlfriend, Samantha Yowler; and Teves’ gal pal Amanda Lindgren made it out of the bloodbath — but they would have been killed had it not been for the loves of their lives.
“He’s a hero, and he’ll never be forgotten,” a tearful Jansen Young told the Daily News of Blunk. “Jon took a bullet for me.”

why did no one try to stop this phaggot? From the eye witnesses inside the theater they said they laid in the floor waiting for him to walk past then got up and left. No one went after this guy from his back? No one was carrying?

in hindsight some should have rushed him from all angles and taken him down. You just cant process that then unless you have police or military training I suspect

and stopped him before it got so bad. Not only would lives have been spared, but the media would have to show the other side of gun ownership. You know, the responsible side.

Save twenty lives and cause one unnecesary...you're screwed.People are so sue happy in this country....no good dead goes unpunished. Heck I believe you could find people in the saved lives catagory that'd testify against....due to their anti gun stance.
There is also another side. Two people with CWP and you get shot taking down the gunman by another with a CWP.
Make note I am ALL FOR CWP! And those are chances I am willing to take.

I have two. Its just a decision YOU have to make. I know where a holder was shot by police because he was mistaken as the perp. Its not so clear cut as some think.

laws. Otherwise doctors, nurses, EMTs, etc. who were not on the job could be sued for helping out individuals who needed medical assistance.
I'd blame the lawyers but it's really greedy people wanting someone to blame and/or money.

I wish that someone had been there to put the guy down and stop a least some of the carnage. I'm assuming this went on for several minutes before the guy ran out of ammo or just left.
On the other hand, you've got total sensory overload with the crowded theater, darkness, silhouetted lighting, loud speaker system, not to mention the tear gas and reports from an AR in an enclosed space, people are running for cover or choking the exits, making it nearly impossible to see, hear or think. Even folks with military and tactical training are subject to ambush. So I'm not sure its reasonable to assume that even a responsible, skilled citizen with CCW could have made a difference. Maybe the idea of return or cover fire would have scared him off. But then, you run the risk of people getting caught in the crossfire, too.
Still, I wish someone would have been there to stop it.
