I went to Cocky’s Funeral on Sunday, with my kids(my daughter who graduated from Clemson last year). When Tiger Rag was played the students all Woohooed. It was just stupid. I looked at my daughter and she said, “I don’t do it!” While at Clemson, she tried to get to get her friends sitting with her not to do it, but it’s like they can’t help themselves. If you have a child who attends Clemson, please educate them on how bad and just stupid the WooHoo is. It’s really sad how this has spread throughout the student body like an STD.
Also, Cocky’s Funeral ain’t like the Barnyard Burn….very safe and boring. But these are the times of liability and being safe.

I gradgee-ated in 91 and no one was doing it then.
I'm just glad that the stupid paw hand-gesture never really took off! Seeing that was like hearing nails on a chalkboard. Awful!

The male friends I know that "woohoo" are very simple minded guys who don't do much thinking.
My mother and sister woohoo at the tops of their lungs no matter how much I complain.
My wife does it just to get a reaction.
When did that crap start? It's a Tommy Bowden era thing, right?

They tried to get it going in the early nineties, even heard of friends saying they tried to teach it during their orientations(I’m serious). Now I guess kids are just easier to herd and be told “this is what we’ve always done”.

I don’t understand why y’all dog something that clearly gives many women and children such pleasure. Why can’t people just have some fun and joy in their life! If you don’t like it don’t do it simple as that.

Not sure if you’re serious but it dumbs down Tiger Rag. Don’t see many women and children doing it, just students. If WooHooing brings your life joy, then you got a sad life.

It has no impact on my quality of life either way. I just look around me in the stands and seems to make a lot of people happy. If woohoo is all you have to complain about you must have a very blessed life..

It actually spoils the playing of Tiger Rag for me, a song that I always loved the way the Tiger Band plays it. If these people knew how close it sounded to the hillbilly strains and fingers-on-chalkboard screeching of Rocky Top maybe they wouldn’t do it.
