but I had to look at time of possession.
I was sure it was closer than this:
Clemson 38 min Scar 22 Min
We had the ball a lot in the middle of the field. I only remember us being in the red zone at the end of the game. And Scar only did once.

pretty hard to win a game ---- and cover the spread --- doing that (or actually NOT doing that).

1st quarter: 18 plays, 92 yards (81 in scoring drive) 2nd: 13 plays, -6 yards 3rd: 9 plays, 8 yards 4th: 16 plays, 75 yards
they gained 2 -- TWO -- total yards in 2nd and 3rd quarters combined. other than that 81 yard TD drive, they had 88 yards in all other drives combined.

There were a couple of things we didnt do well - throw and catch - but we dominated the game. As sweet as it was boring. I could watch them snap it from the 10 on 3rd-and-20-whatever over and over and over.

The sequencing of our plays continues to be suspect.

And it makes a lot more sense now that I hear Dabo is basically making Riley go a certain way during games, because it hasn’t been logical. If Riley doesn’t know if a play has a good chance of being green or red-lighted, it would result in hodge-podge playcalling as it pertains to what makes the field.
First series for instance. Mafah gets 4 yards a pop on first and second down. So what do we do on an easy 3rd and 2? Pass for incompletion.
Similarly, we rarely ever pass on second down. Either first is a pass or run attempt, 2nd is commonly a run, and third is a coin toss. We also cluster plays really weirdly quite often. Like a series with all runs followed by a series of all passes, even if one or the other is clearly working better. There just isn’t a healthy, natural blend of plays interwoven throughout an entire game.

but you also want Mafah to run it three consecutive times on the first drive.
Ok.
I kid, I know what you mean....if running is working, run it. I don't know how much is "we ran it twice, they are probably expecting another run here, let's throw it".
Throwing wasn't looking that bad cause we did have some dropsies.
