It makes no difference what we fans think. But these guys come to Clemson and bust their butts training, running and lifting weights. What do they have to show for it? Not very much! Brownell has wasted a top 15-20 player in PJ Hall the last 3-4 years. This is why top players cannot be recruited to Clemson basketball. It’s not the facilities, the fan support, the presence of a pep band or the number of coaches. It is the coaches that lead this program.
Lynn Kidd and Ben Middlebrooks left because they saw what was happening and are doing well at their new schools.

Correct!! I was thinking last night about what our Bigs would look like if we still had Kidd, Prosper, Middlebrooks, et.al. added to the current group? Probably no change. They would probably play like the group we have now. Oh well.

That is a ridiculous post. PJ Hall will be a 1st round NBA guy so how is that wasting him? Fans just cannot accept that in today's game, 3 point shots have to go and last night was a perfect example. We had 13 more offensive rebounds and dominated inside but Tech made 12 more 3's than we did. It seems like we just cannot make a 3 now and getting a 2 and giving up a 3 is down hill business.

As for Brownell, he can coach or not coach but he didn't miss any of the 18 3 point shots we missed. Rupp, Wooden, Dean, K or any other coach would have a hard time if their team was 3-21 on 3 pointers the same way a football coach cannot make up for a QB who can't hit receiver or a pitcher who can't throw strikes. The game last night was a killer and it will be interesting to see if we bounce back Saturday.

When was the last time you saw a Wooden, Coach K or Dean Smith team miss this many threes in 4-5 games in a row.
Three point shooters go cold when they are tired. Maybe this and other Brownell teams are overworked in practice because this is not one or two player going cold, it is the whole team.
Only the coach can know that but it happens every year to Clemson.
