I’m an ME also and most of us question because we want to understand, not attack. No matter how great of an engineer you are, water doesn’t run uphill, and 98.5% of engineers accept that fact. We don’t need a pHD to tell us this, it just is. In fact, too much college sometimes makes people too theoretical and less practical. “Let’s distill it and make it go up!”

This whole idea of asst coach evaluation from the stands forgets an obvious fact - coaching TL and DW was a heck of a lot easier than coaching DJU, whose new team is winning, but he is not a top 30 quarterback. If you are not at practices or position meetings, you are unqualified to make a judgement regarding personnel quality.

So Scott and Elliot got kudos for not standing in the generational talents way and then all the O coaches suck because DJU struggled. We fell for the old bigger is better trap. That was an evaluation error, probably by Elliot or Scott.

I’ll say it again, Dabo was being extremely charitable with his numbers. Many of the 100% suck up score tnetters are just crybaby, “what have you done for me today?” Kind of fans. Winning is awesome but most people realize that there are ebbs in any coach’s career. The worst part is giving up on the season by quite a few old timers. They just quit after the Duke game, of course they did not quit whining.

Mainly, not many of Dabo’s critics use their names when bashing him, so they are wolves in Tiger clothing. You’ll find them drunkenly cursing a good man due to their own lack of status and fortitude.

I really don’t think it matters that individuals personally dislike a coach or mope when we lose. But when that translates to attacking the man for his past success, you are either jealous or petty, neither of which is included in the definition of ‘fan’.

The other end of the scale is firing Dabo, making the top 10 Tnetters the coaches, and watching the program collapse. No thanks.

In spite of the multiple alter egos the internet encourages, Dabo will be HC for as long as he wants to be. I hope it is another 25 years.

Those of you that don’t like our program, bugger off, as my British friend would say.
