Netflix Qwestiun

Jul 13, 2013, 7:13 AM

Never used it. I am thinking about getting a subscription on my IPad since I will be traveling just about every Mon-Fri in August and September.

Can you use the same membership/account on different devices?

I think this would be the best way to pass time in the airport and cross country flights.

TIA

Definitely

I have the same account on an ipad, a laptop and 2 dvd players

Have even pulled it up at a friends at a party one night to show a couple of concert movies

I think 5 devices is the limit

Done. Especially if they have concerts too. I am looking forward to watching Dexter as well.

Thanks!

The only thing about airports and such is the Wifi costs

unless you have some unlimited data plan with it.

Netflix chews up data rates.

I am assuming I could download the movie or show and then have it for when I am at the airport.

Netflix is a website for renting movies, offering thousands of movies and TV shows on DVD, Blu-ray, and instant streaming video. For a monthly fee, Netflix users can have unlimited access to all of the movies in their database. However, a Netflix membership will not allow you to download movies and watch them when you are not on the Internet. Have a question?

seems there are workarounds out there though

You can use it on 2 devices simultaneously.

As far as downloading, look into Amazon's video service. You pay for each item rather than the service, and you can download copies of movies/shows you buy. I don't like it because if they lose the license for something you BUY (not rent, but BUY) and you don't have a saved copy, it's gone. This does not often happen but it's possible. And Wifi usually is the free way to do things on mobile devices. It's the 3G/4G that costs a ton. But big places like airports often have free Wifi, and even aircraft have SOME paid wifi these days.
