As I Iay in bed here in Durham before I head back to Greenville, I have many thoughts...
Where is that fire that the coaches, players, and staff used to have? I don't see that fire pre-game, in-game, and post game! We need to bring back that fire. We need to bring back that hunger. We need to bring back that desire to win at all costs. We need a devil dog mentality. We need to be bullies. We need to be mean. We need to play with reckless behavior. We need to be feared again.
We are not a spoiled fan base. This trip to Durham cost me $800. I came here expecting to see a team in game 1 with fire burning inside them. I don't think we are spoiled because we are expecting to win. Great programs expect to win every game. Great programs prepare themselves on and off the field. Great programs use all of the tools afforded to them to win. Great programs dont use tag lines to get their boys fired up. Those boys are motivated by Championships. We can't win every game, but we can play like we want to win every game.
I don't know how to feel. Is it NIL? Is it the lack of using the portal? Is it recruiting? Is it talent evaluation? Is it coaching? Is it because we don't have generational talent anymore? Is it the fans?
I just want it fixed. I want our General to come out leading his Army from the front. I want our General to hold everyone accountable. I want our General to ensure his Army is prepared, to ensure his Army is a fighting machine and to ensure his Army is a bunch of mean dogs. I want scrappiness. I want a punch your opponent in the face mentality. I want blood. I want vomit. I want fear.
Slogans and funny punch lines no longer motivate young men. Times have changed. College Football is much like the pros now. Do your job or you will be sent home and we will find someone to replace you who will.
Dabo is the greatest coach in Clemson University history. He is a good man and a leader. I don't want him going anywhere. He needs to regain his fire as much as his staff and the players do. A reset is needed for this program. No more slogans, wiffle ball games, putt putt tournaments, social media posts and BS. Get mean and start punching your opponent in the face.

NIL and the transfer portal are two areas that Coach Swinney has been set against from the beginning. If he does not change his tune soon then we will be in real trouble since other teams like FSU have zero issue pulling in guys from the portal.

it’s a 15 yard penalty…and likely an ejection.
We just cannot afford that at this point.

The 10 and one less missed fg and I think we win that game. Which the sad part then would be that we’d be hearing how precious a win on the road is. I love Dabo too but I hope he stews on this about like he did West Virginia and knows something has to change

I am not saying that the portal is the answer but overall poor roster management needs to be improved.
If we have 10 OL that can win than why can't we put 5 out there?
Why do we have 5-6 WRs on the roster who can't help us when we can't field 3 to scare anyone?
Why hire Riley to run the same WR passes on the perimeter that don't work because of horrible WR blocking?

A shiny new car and drove like we still had a Yugo. First half especially was so predictably called like last year. I love ship but almost every first down play is a run by him. It works a lot but it also doesn’t some times. Cade looked more comfortable throwing at the end but then wrs just aren’t the same. Man to have a Mike Williams and a Renfrow to throw to . . .

You are over-thinking this way too much. It's simple. The talent isn't as good as it was 5-10 years ago. Specifically, the quarterbacks and receivers.

Dabo lost control of the team in 2020. Since then he has stubbornly refused to use the portal, which, like it or not (see Colorado and Texas State) is how the modern game is being played.
