which play is coming is a lot more refreshing than always taking what the defense gives us.

I grew so tired the last 3 years of "taking what the defense gave us".
While we certainly won lots of games, still, it appeared that the Defense coordinators knew that, and used it to their advantage more and more over the years. Opposing DC's learned to game plan us into a slow methodical pace, taking away the explosive plays and limiting our snaps. DC's also knew we had become scared to death to pass to the middle of the field and was able to leverage that in their play calling as well.
I hope, more than anything, that we see a total use of the Offense players (RB, WR's, TE's, QB Run, etc) spread across the entire field (backfield, boundry, middle, Outside, shallow & deep). Hopefully all of this leads to us becoming way more unpredictable.

Tony Elliott made that very same statement that Cade said about it don't matter if a defense knows your next play. Elliot said the same thing about out playing the defense, and then he like Streeter practiced 80 plus plays while never practicing what he preached. We would just match talent with talent, and that's the reason we had trouble with teams that were almost as talented as we were. If not for how talented DW4 and TL16 were along with their receivers, we would still be chasing after our 2nd Natty, and most of Tiger Nation knows that's the truth... DW4 and TL16 is what got TE a HCing job, and that is why he grabbed that VA job, he knew no DW4 or TL16 left on the roster, and he took that job while the getting was there and being offered....

Looking at the backdrop for the presser, with Cade's social media handles throughout, I believe we have turned a corner from Dabo of old who kept his guys off social media during the season, who was always very "we before I." Watching the drone video of the CAB and knowing that we are getting our NIL stuff on par with our competition...I think we'll be just fine even if we aren't bringing in guys through the portal. It's a new day at Clemson. We're "cycling in" again

Clemson isn't just on par with NIL; it's leading the way.
Pay-for-play, for now, is under the blanket of NIL until Congress can make a final call (to-date, no proposal has made it out of committee, so we're likely a long ways off still).
The essence of name/image/likeness, however, is what the C.A.B. is all about.
On par is one thing, but make no mistake, the C.A.B. is absolutely world-class &, more to the point, a first of its kind in college athletics. It's really impressive & something to celebrate.
Now if we could just get our own graduates in national media to up their production quality to what our current students are doing instead of sweatpants & webcams we'd be even better!

Can't wait for this season, reminds me of when Chad Morris came

Just butterflies in my stomach with excitement for what we will see. Can not wait to see how he turns Klub and those receivers into a national championship caliber team again, we've had the RBs for that type of team but the QB & WRs along with play calling were holding us back! Let's GOOOOOO!! Oh and Klub, you should know "brung" is not a word, you are in college now let's talk like it 😁

I used to get upset about students using bad grammar, punctuation & even spelling mistakes.
Truth is, in 2023 you don't have to do any of that anymore at all to be successful, but more to the point, even Clemson doesn't do that in its own social media and marketing, not to mention any of the national Clemson voices in media.
I don't like it, but I guess it's just the 21st century is all. It often makes me cringe, but we are absolutely in the minority there I guess is all.

i.e., "Fundamentals"

Dropping from 80 prepared plays per game to 30 & focusing on getting those 30 plays completely dialed-in sounds like one thing: fundamentals.
I wouldn't say Clemson was bad at fundamentals last year, but any improvement in fundamentals will always be noticeable. Catching balls in phase, for example, was a fundamentals issue at times last season that cost drives & points.
We were one field goal away last year; with a more favorable path outright in 2023, I just don't see how we miss out on the playoff outside of multiple injuries. Bet on it. Go Tigers!

Riley sounds like he took a page from Vince Lombardi…we will run the power sweep and do it perfectly and no one can stop it. Just the ole KISS method

You clearly don't get it, but that's fine. As long as you have Dabo and Klubnik I'm still pulling for the Tigers, but some of you are just clueless.

Might just be what the Tigers need. I feel better about the upcoming season than I did this time last year. Agree?
