The level of officiating in the NFL is criminal.

Dec 18, 2022, 11:34 PM

How it continues at the pile of shid level with nobody saying a thing is beyond me. Everybody just acts like it doesn't matter. If it doesn't matter, then winning and losing doesn't matter, because the incompetence of officials determines the outcomes of games every week.

Is there no recourse? No accountability?

$$$$ and betting could change decisions in a big way or they could be blind in the one eye an unable to see well out of the other eye.

Healing & great lenses might help them to see better. Stopping the gambling on the games would probably make things clearer too.lol

True, but this particular crime is referred to as Bribery, it’s a felony.

I actually saw something the other day that was saying the NFL is not technically a “business”, it is “entertainment” instead. Because of that, they CAN rig games without consequence - supposedly.

I’m just stating what I saw, have no idea if this is true or not.

The NFL is rigged.

I don't know if that's true or not but they would be

incredibly stupid to do so. Gambling fuels a ton of interest in the NFL and if the fans lose faith in the integrity of the games, that all goes out the window.

Kinda reminds you of the ACC doesn't it !?!?!***

anybody who cares about the integrity of the sport. If fairness and legitimate competition matter, then clear, understandable, consistently enforced rules are critical. If none of that matters, and you just want to be entertained, the go to the circus and watch the trapeze and clowns and high-wire acts, that's fine, but if you want legitimate athletic contests, then insist on officials who undersatnd the rules, and have the bawls to enforce them consistently.

Officials almost certainly cost Washington a win last night due to a "missed call", that only they missed, because everybody else in the whole wide world saw it, and it wasn't close - it was blatant and egregious. The Washington WR was mugged by the NY DB in the endzone well before the ball arrived. It was a massive, horrible display of incompetence, and should be a main topic of discussion on all NFL forums and outlets this morning. It's that important. It won't be though, because incompetent officials are protected, and we pretend that "everybody gets some bad calls, and it all evens out in the end". B U L L S H I T! Holding and PI calls are totally random and all over the place; and as players keep pushing the envelope and getting away with more and more, it becomes even more random and inconsistent, and difficult to enforce. That's where we are now - if either is properly enforced, players and coaches and ignorant fans would go apeshid, because they've been allowed to ignore the rules for so long. And of course, it trickles down into college and high school as well, and we have a whole generation of players and coaches and refs who either (A) don't know what the rules are, or (B) don't care.
