Last year team of destiny Auburn sure did not dominate on their way to play a national championship. Auburn's 2013 close games, and final records
Washington State 31-24 6-7
Miss St 24-20 7-6
Ole Miss 30-22 8-5
Texas A&M 45-41 9-4
Georgia 45-38 8-5 (The Georgia team Auburn played would have likely lost to both SCAR, and LSU with all the injuries)
Alabama 11-2

Florida State has played in 5 close games this year.
OK State 37-31 5-6
Clemson 23-17 minus Jameis 9-3
Notre Dame 31-27 7-5
Miami 30-26 6-6
Boston College 20-17 7-5
Florida 24-19 6-5

The selection committee also must fail to realize how difficult it is to repeat as a National Champion when every team gives you their best game.
