THE DEATH OF COLLEGE SPORTS AND THE AFTERMATH

Who cares!? I certainly could not care less about something so trivial in life. In fact, if the NCAA cannot fix the issues that they allowed, then College Sports deserves to fail. Look on the bright side, if College Sports no longer exists due to the greed of some then it's not really worth having around anyway. A few bright spots to point out in the event this does happen.
1. Men of faith such as myself will have more time to spend with God. (Can't beat that, other than sharing Christ with others. To me, there is no greater reward than leading someone else to Christ.)
2. Family time may end up making a return to the home. (Imagine that concept. Families actually spending quality time together.)
3. More time for the gym! Get in shape... Have you seen some of the people walking around lately? Some still have that "pandemic gut" going on. Get with it, folks!
4. College will focus on education and military leadership. I believe as a nation; we could use a little bit more of both.
5. Activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, working on cars, and golf will thrive.
While I'm a rabid fanatic of all things Clemson Football, if the sport in and of itself is focused more on money and winning at all costs, then I don't want it anymore. It's really that simple for me and doesn't make for a hard decision at all. In the meantime, I will continue to attend games, cheer for the Tigers, and fellowship with fellow fans at all Clemson events that I can attend. For the record, I don't think we are at death's doorstep for college sports just yet, but it may not be too far away. For the sake of Clemson sports, I hope it remains intact and our collegiate coaching staff across all sports can set the example of how to do things the right way.
GO TIGERS!

College football isn’t going anywhere. There will be games in the fall and national championships in the winter. I will be there cheering Clemson on and if you don’t, nobody will notice.

I don't have Fakebook, Instasham, X, or any other form of social media anymore. I used to, but haven't for years. I don't even have an LinkedIn account anymore.

College football is changing for the better, not dying.
This upcoming season will FINALLY feature a legitimate playoff season.
If you are not excited about that you are not a true football fan.

What is legitimate about watching the 2 teams that paid more to be there in the championship? College football absolutely has not changed for the better .

great post, i know some on here may look at your post as too dire or doomy, but i think you are pretty close to correct. check back on this post in 5 years (or less) you may be shocked, and college sports may be the least of the thoughts in your mind.
Clemson football/ sports and college football in general has been a great hope and source of enjoyment for many especially these last 100 years. I can wish and hope all that i want, that college sports gets "fixed" just like i can hope and wish the country gets "fixed"......but what evidence is there that any of those hopes and wishes are close to turning around. I would prepare in your mind at least, this is probably the death walk for college sports as we know it, it is a symptom of a much bigger problem, which is the country itself.

Took the thoughts right out of my own mind. I couldn't have explained it better myself.

You are looking at it from your own selfish football fanatics point of view.
Not considering all of the lives that have been changed for the better thanks to college sports. From athletes, to coaches to administrators etc. Not to mention everything college sports have done to give more young women chances than anyone ever thought possible decades ago. If you’ve spent any time at all near college athletics it’s pretty apparent.
College sports overall has been a big net positive to the country.
Also the idea that college sports ceasing to exist would create more gym time for people is pretty absurd.
