We’re getting this year is coming in droves. Love it. Reminds me of when this whole thing was getting built. Deep inside, we all knew what was up and the rest didn’t. The last thing the FBS wants is “little ol clemson” to return, back against the wall, tired of the disrespect. I promise you. If that sounds cliche to the haters, let them keep talking.

It’s amusing to read what the ‘haters’ are saying about our Tigers fading out of the playoff picture. Obviously our Tigers will not win the big championship every year but they WILL have a ‘say so’ about who does! I hope that this conference realignment doesn’t change the picture very much. College football isn’t broken and certainly doesn’t need to be fixed. Hopefully all this talk will force teams to beef up their schedule and force them to play D1 teams. The sure win games, and every team has them, should be eliminated …I think. I would much rather play Maryland and West Virginia than Citadel and SC State. Wouldn’t you?

Its most certainly broken now. Sooner than later NIL, portal, and revenue gaps vs the SEC & BIG will take their toll on programs like Clemson. Hopefully we can keep making noise until that time comes and maybe get the heck out of the ACC to avoid relegation to second tier. To your other point, FBS teams shouldnt play FBS teams. Would we miss the occasional Citadel beating the coots or an AppSt beating Michigan? Sure....but youre talking .01%, which is why we even remember those games. More often than not, these games are 35-0 at halftime. Its pointless. You get a better workout scrimmaging your own team.

Yea it may not be broke but it’s definitely developing a big ole crack. Pisses me off. Someone or something always will ruin a good thing. TV deals are like the pay these pro athletes receive, outrageous. Where does this end up financially? Can these owners and networks keep upping the money? If so what are our cost going to be in paying for the ESPN’s, tickets and parking prices?

I have never been a believer in bulletin board material in terms of having much impact on the game. Perhaps it keeps the team from overlooking a marginal opponent but if our team cant be motivated to beat a ND or FSU then something else is wrong.

Putting on that helmet is all the motivation that a real Clemson man needs. When you lace up the shoes you better be ready to play. Real winners don’t have to be motivated. If it takes an outside interest to get you fired up ... you can’t play for me.
I once had a kid on one of my baseball teams that struck out on his first at bat. All the other kids thought this was hilarious and Said “Joeys crying... he struck out”.
I got them all on the bench and told them very forcefully that if I get nine guys who cry when they fail that we want lose any games, They got my point and we won the league championship.
