You have an OL that cannot block well-due to a poor scheme, poor awareness and lack of intensity. You have a Sophomore QB starting his first season who gets rattled. QB not seeing the defense--moved the RB to the wrong side when he got clobbered which was amplified by the Left Tackle double teaming the guy inside.
On 3rd downs, we need pass patterns beyond the markers.
I feel like the talent is there. I feel like the precision of coaching we once had is not there. Dabo made the OL coach change (in a nice way) which was sorely needed
These guys are not indoctrinated enough with Riley's system-that takes time. Question-Why is Riley not in the booth? You can't see schemes and weaknesses at ground level as well-correct?
I believe we need a peron whose sole responsibility is keeping up with the transfer portal...and the staff needs to be more open to using it. If someone transfers into a position, the next guy up still has the opportunity to beat them out. It does not have to change the culture. Losing WILL change the culture.
Obviously I have no clue what coaches talk about-i'm sure it's way over my head technically. However sometimes the simple obvious changes start the process to develop better solutions. Dabo sees these things and is surely working on a lot of things. Remember who got us to 2 National Championships. I do believe things will get better and all is not lost but the rest of the year may be equally or even worse to what we've experienced. Just remember, you are not a USuC fan (get off the board if you are). You are a Clemson fan and we don't run away because we got a bloody nose
