He's so much fun to watch... there are moments where he really makes you question everything and there are also moments where he makes throws that we've never seen made at Clemson.
He has that Tim Tebow energy; that Kirk Cousins likability; Deshaun Watson speed.
Yes, he's still green - he makes some poor decisions. Yes, he still makes those insanely dumb throws... and Yes, his receiving core isn't helping him out.
But he's learning and continuing to get better.

This year (and last year) he's lacked a true big-play threat on his side. Williams/Brown are our two most exciting receivers but aren't that big and lack that 80/20 ball presence... Ship/Mafah are good backs but lack top-end speed. Beaux Collins is... inconsistent at best; reminds me of Deon Cain in some ways. Briningstool seems like he lacks the physicality to really have his way at that position.
Excited to see what Wesco can come in and do... Excited to see more of Jay Haynes too.
The best is yet to come.

Wow, it sounds like you are saying we need to pull a Prime and get 50 new players. As Cade matures and gets better, you will find out our receivers will get better because Coach Riley will be able to call more plays. Lack of a home run hitter at running back is a much bigger need than receiver.

Cade is getting better, and the poster is right, we have nothing that we can put out there that can hit the home run from the line of scrimmage in the last 3 years along with no 80/20 WR's. Shipley was suppose to be that fast a lightning guy, but he is not and is no Etienne (not even close and we were spoiled with him). O-line is what it is and always has been since way back, but we always had the skill players to overcome. For this season I sure hope we can get Williams and Brown on the field at the same time as that is our best threat.

CK2 is a great one
DJU could have been a great one, but the RB1 transferred. The Defense was overrated. and WRU transferred
He needs a defense that can control momentum and emotional tone of games.
Then he will be unleashed. But if it's DJU's era of defense. It's going to hurt to watch it all

Cade has just started his Clemson career. Barring injury, he will start throughout the 2024 & 2025 seasons.

I agree fully. He is just young and learning a new offense. He will leave Clemson as one of the best to ever wear orange imo
