Well established pattern at this point. Start strong and gradually get exposed down the stretch since we don't have true scoring threats.
We'll see. It's literally been like 14 years of this so I apologize if I seem skeptical.

You’re kidding right? We should have lost by more. We had goaltending, fouls and an obvious travel no-call go our way. We played well, and im not mad at the result. Acting like we got screwed by the refs is laughable. They gave us very favorable calls

We haven't had this strong of a start since 2008 when we started 15-0.

Cant base this team on previous 14yrs. Im not a CBB praiser and I asked that he be fired after NIT fiasco, but I am a Clemson fan and this team is built different. If you watch you can easily see. Now Chase has to get his play straight, he probably cost us the game. Not calling him out because he is gonna help us win games but he is on a very cold 3 game streak right now.

I hear ya. I felt that same exact way last season after our undefeated ACC start.
Definitely hoping for the best but we seem to yet again be a defensive team with just enough scoring.
Ian is definitely a boss on the boards.

If you’ve only watched them play one time this year, I’d refrain from making hasty generalizations. Those were two good basketball teams that played today. Either one could have won. That was one of those games where being the home team probably did make the final difference.

We definitely appear improved, but we also appeared improved last year until we crashed and burned.
I've been watching long enough to realize our undefeated start means very little at this point. Let's check back in after the ACC tournament and see how the dust settles.

They have played pretty well. But I definitely noticed that the basketball posters don't give Dabo the same grace during a loss that they give to Brownell. That's weird

I'm actually bewildered at how much stock people are putting into this team. I have seen this movie a thousand times (including last season).
We still don't have an actual point guard or scoring threat, which is the Hallmark of the Brownell tenure.
Hopefully we don't get exposed down the stretch like last season.

You haven’t watched but one game, according to you. The reason people are “putting stock” into this team is due to the fact they are good. Joe Girard III is the difference this year. He had a substandard game today, and even with the turnovers, that was one of the big reasons for the loss. If he were on last year’s team, they probably make the Sweet 16. This is a good basketball team.

Considering Brownell's history.
And unsurprisingly, we lost. Hoping the team can bounce back. I agree that our roster is solid but we appear to be built in the same exact mold as many of Brownell's other teams - rely on defense and try to slow the game down.

All you Brownell haters must be current students bc you don't sound old enough to remember the Shyatt days, when Clemson was truly AWFUL. Or Purnell and his team of sprinters who could press the entire game but hardly shoot worth a ####. Even under Barnes, as decent as his teams were, players couldn't shoot free throws. That crappy performance contonued until under Brownell. Plus, Brownell finally broke the winless curse at Chapel Hill.

That was your first basketball game and it shows.
Memphis is a lock NCAA team, and should be ranked in the top 25. That's a really good basketball team in their place and we had a chance to win.
I don't know even know what else to say.
