Tennessee Vols

Jun 19, 2016, 9:42 AM

I am new to following this whole recruiting thing. Yesterday Tennessee got verbal from 7 2017 recruits with all being 3 stars. They moved up from 22 to 7 on the rankings. Why the move so high? Is this just a quantity thing?

In this case, yes.***

Yep, and as soon as the school's below them start racking up the 4 and 5 stars, they will drop, just like those lamea$$ chickens.

They now have 17 recruits signed, the most in the top 25. At this point, the more players you have signed the higher your class is going to be ranked.

They did steal a pretty good player from USuCk. He's from rock hill and had a lot of pretty good offers. He was projected to choose the coots.

You would think average stars per recruit would be a better metric.

none of their commitments were from Clemson talent players

They had a commit from North Augusta, SC not Rock Hill.

the eye of the beholder. A 3 star is just a very good player, lots of them on the market. Now don't take that the wrong way, every team needs a pile of 3 stars. They will help win games every weekend!

Rivals(which is what SEC homers usually use)

is not as kind.

17 commits with a 2 a 2.82 average.

247 does have them ranked high based on this math

The Clemson 247 list is missing Mike Jones

I bet they are bragging at volnation. Losers!! Yes some 3 stars can be good but 7 3* in one day is nothing to brag about we could do that everyday.
