Tennessee portal lineman Addison Nichols visiting today. He's a big dude

at 6'5" 326 pounds. With two years of college, one a redshirt, he fits the bill of the type of transfer Dabo has said he prefers. He's a Norcross Georgia farm boy who has visited GT and visits Arkansas this weekend. He is in Clemson for a few hours today. Is that enough time to make an impression. We tend to be a bit late to the party with these transfer portal guys, but at least we are getting him on campus.

Whether we get him or not, the Matt Luke name will start bringing in the type of O lineman that we've always believe we needed for our O line.
There was a lot of OL offers handed out for the 2024 recruiting season, and we only got commitments from Two. IMO, having Austin as our OL coach was the main reason for most of those rejections, but we really can't blame Austin bc he took the opportunity that was offered to him. With that said, I hope that Dabo don't stand in the way of whoever Luke tries to bring in...

or my favorite... where the OL is running around trying to get in the way of someone, meanwhile our ball carrier is getting tackled by 3-4 DL.

If you want to play with the big boys, you gotta have big boys up front (Big Dex and Wilkins say hello). As an aside, I hope that Luke has a positive impact on one of our current OL D. Pennington. I always thought he had a high ceiling for an OG and obviously was coming off ACL before this year. I think that Luke will be able to tap that potential. He is big and strong which is always a good start.
