Tell you one thing about that '81 title:

Aug 22, 2022, 8:23 PM

Nothing made me happier than seeing a whole lot of so-called experts having to eat a whole lot of crow after that great victory over Nebraska.

One thing I distinctly remember yelling at game's end was, "Take that you know-it-all sonsab*tches!" lol

Funny thing is I was 34...and have found myself yelling the same thing over the past few years!

Holy Moly....How sweet it was...and is!

Watching the 81 championship show was really enjoyable. Nice to relive that after all theses years. A few things stood out to me:

1. I still love Danny Ford
2. That team was so physical
3. I still miss Jim Phillips
4. Loved the players yelling “#### a doodle do, #### a doodle doo, Carolina gamecocks to hell with you.

The Big Red fans at our hotel had no clue where Clemson even was. They found out.

Like I told one of them, It's seven miles from Seneca...

That's what Bennie Cunningham told Bob Hope

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

What Clemson IS today

Began in that game in Miami forty plus years ago.

Glad you didn't have any doubt, because I sure did up until the last play of the game. I still have nightmares of Mike Rozier piling up those six and seven yard runs toward the end of the game. Rozier was a stud!

True. But they came in with 2 losses

Aug 22, 2022, 9:08 PM

I never figured out how the huskers were favored. We got a pretty good draw in the Orange Bowl. I was also there. Sat just behind Perry Tuttle’s Mom and family and we had a blast! It was a big night in Little Havana!

There was an article by a national sportswriter that said

something very close to,"Clemson rode the train into the station in style, problem was,the Nebraska Cornhuskers were pulling it!"LOL! They had no idea that Perry and Devane were going to wear out Dave Remmington...or that Clemson had future pros like Andy Headen,Jeff Davis,Terry Kinarad,Jeff Bryant,Dan Benish....ON THE DEFENSIVE side of the ball....

said the Neb. sideline reporter said Rimington came off the field and said he needed help... They added Steinkuhler. Both ended up with holding calls. Perry and Devane were blowing up the middle.

Yes they were. The bruise brothers

Perry was a freshman. Devane a senior.
