Tell me why a kid who has gotten his life

Jul 10, 2013, 9:17 PM

back together and would want to come to Clemson would anyone deny him that? Once someone has done what has been asked of him for any wrong he has done shouldn't he be able continue with his life? I don't understand this feeling that Clemson is too good for someone like this.

did I miss something, or are we passing judgement on our coaching staff for not addressing a rumor started on Tnet?

I guess you could view it that way. I just think that if he

Jul 10, 2013, 9:35 PM

can get into school and if the coaches want him he should be welcome.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Neither would occur at Clemson

Jul 10, 2013, 10:20 PM

The coaches don't want him and not enough of his JUCO classes would likely transfer in to make him a Jr. The guy has been a cancer at 2 programs - Clemson doesn't need a potential cancer.

Why would you judge him on the actions of someone

he would be a better fit at TCU or Louisville where gun culture is more prominent amongst the players.

just curious, if the guy who broke the rock pays his dues

Jul 10, 2013, 9:44 PM

to society and does whatever Cu wants him to do with the rock, do you think he should be admitted to CU if he meets minimum requirements; or at least be allowed to purchase season tickets?

First of all, it wouldn't be a ''second chance.'' It would be his 4th school. Do you really want a kid who was dismissed from one of the dirtiest programs around (Auburn)? How bad do ya have to mess up for Gene Cheatzik to kick you out?! That speaks VOLUMES.

We don't even know if he's in football shape. Clemson has no interest in him. We have plenty of RB's and should save his scholarship for another position. Former committ Marlin Lane was arrested twice for weed and Dabo told him thanks but no thanks. He's been clear on what he expects from student athletes. Why would he take a guy who is a little more than a year removed from having a traffic stop produce a pistol and weed? This was after he was kicked out of Auburn and enrolled at Arkansas St. This incident led to his second dismissal.

The common thing I hear is, ''Yea but, but, He has a 3.5 GPA.'' Yea at Arkansas Baptist; his third school. Here is the scoop on that school; They do not take test at AB. They simply turn in an occassional ''essay.'' The school is not SACS accredited. They are not ranked at all by US World News. They are, by another news service, ranked as the 44th of 48 schools in Arkansas. It is a school that simply does not turn down applicants.

Now, can we give the Dyer thing a rest. Please. This all stems from a bonehead article written by the Greenville News. It compared his transfer to that of Russell Wilson. Two completely different people and topics. Perhaps the most irrelevant article I've seen in a while.
