Nobody dislikes FSU more than me BUT...

I still think it's in Clemson's best interest for FSU to win out. As stated earlier by others, the ACC will NOT get the same "home cooking" from the Ranking Gods the way the SEC programs have/do. Somebody please tell me why I'm wrong.

Call me crazy, but I don't think FSU winning is helpful to

Clemson at all. The ACC could stink it up every year including FSU and it wouldn't hurt my feelings. If Clemson goes 12-0, they are in the playoffs 9-10 times no matter how ###### the conference is playing

You don't understand how the new era of CFB works

Strength of schedule is greatly being taken into account. Look where Duke is ranked. Marshall. Baylor. SEC West teams. Put away the leather helmet and accept the new reality. What your opponents do impacts your standings. Plain and simple.

The strength of a teams conference is now factored into a teams ranking, no matter what conference you are in. Clemson needs FSU as well as Louisville to stay ranked as high as possible for ranking benefits in the future. Not wanting an ACC team to make the playoff if it's not clemson does not make sense in this day and age of football.

Odds are a 12-1 FSU goes to the playoffs anyways,

and we'd go to the Orange Bowl as long as we finish 10-2.
If FSU finishes just short of the playoffs, then we probably finish around 10th in the polls anyways at 10-2, and are likely invited to one of the other New Year's Six Bowls (Cotton, Peach, or Fiesta).
In the worst-case scenario, we go to the Russell Athletic Bowl, which is a pretty good bowl these days despite the lack of name recognition at this point. A very good Big 12 team, likely in the top-20 would be the opponent (such as Baylor or Oklahoma or Kansas State).

This is very true. There will be very few one loss teams left standing at the end of November. There are at least 10 games with ranked teams playing each other the next 2 weeks. They will drop initially, but will creep back up by attrition.

If Clemson is 10-2 and ND remains

10-2 or better as well, they're going to have the quality wins needed as well, especially if Duke remains ranked.
It's looking more and more like FSU wins tonight though, so it may all be a moot point.

And it will not stop now. They were a shady dirty program when Bowden was there pulling the wool over everyones eyes and they have reached new depths. They along with the Chickens and Georgia cannot lose enough for me. Rooting by fans has zero to do with outcomes and some of us stand for things beyond winning at all costs. FSU disgusts me and I hope they get embarrassed every time they take the field.
