Not sure about '17 and '20 teams. The '17 team struggled a bit on offense. And the '20 team was not as strong on defense as some of the other Tiger teams.

That's fair but I think because neither of those teams are complete '17 would be able to win a low scoring game, and '20 with Trevor wins a track meet.

But it’s 2023-2024 and we’re light years behind both. I personally don’t see a change until we get serious with the portal and serious w NIL. I’m looking to our looming match up w Uga as a benchmark as to where we are vs where we were. I think I know, but we’ll see. I sure saw a lot of players in Uga jerseys that we recruited hard and missed. That was not the case bf Kirby n NIL

I don’t think we are as far behind as you think. If we can land a Mike Williams / Tee Higgins Combo with a TE like Leggett or Allen, and a QB that can put the ball in a position to give those guys a little better than 50/50 throwing down field that would open up our run game. We need another Hunter Renfrow who inspires. He brought a lot of Energy to the offense.

NIL, the TP, tampering, and $$$$$$$$$ have made recruiting much more difficult. The TP makes roster management more challenging for coaches. In some cases you develop a player then he hits the portal.

I believe teams that use the TP to much will eventually become dependent on it to bring players to fill out each years recruiting class. So far I have not seen enough success from the TP to want Dabo to use it except in select situations

Dabo even with all of the adversity and challenges has won more games in less time than DF and Frank Howard. He changed the program and the way his players think. Games Clemson use to lose most of the time win now. In 3 years of adjusting to the Chaos in CF we have won 9 or more games.

I believe we will be back sooner than later. Without Dabo’s vision we would probably never have gotten to to taste the sweetness of being Elite. We would not be bitc$$ing so much about how far we have fallen.

Most seasons fans would be happy with 10 or more wins. With some ACC titles and really good BG’s. But we have tasted Elite and we want it back. So do I and I believe Dabo will get us back to Elite. Have faith Clemson Family.

We need to worry about ‘24 Clemson. Dwelling on the past will do nothing except make next season miserable. We have a lot of work to do, but are headed in the right direction
