Talent makes coaches look a lot better!

I went back and watched our 2 National Championships again, just to feel better. We had Dudes all over the place! We ran basically the same plays we run now, we just had better talent, bottom line. Average players make average plays, and right now we are average. Give us tomorrow a Trevor, ETN, Higgins, Renfrow, Simmons, and a Kicker…and our coaches will have put together “a great game plan.”

3 or 4 of them were our best 3 or 4 recruiters known throughout 85% of this country.

Those things made a world of a difference too.

In the Olympics where he won 7 gold medals and set 7 world records there was a lot of talk about how it was a "fast pool." There were experts describing the extra wide areas between the outside lane and the walls, the ropes between the lanes were specially designed to absorb the wake and not reflect it, even chemicals added to the water to reduce friction.

Spitz was asked, "We've heard a lot of talk about this being a fast pool. Is it?"

Spitz said, "Yes."

Then he was asked, "What makes a fast pool. Can you explain it to us?"

He replied, "Fast swimmers."
